Here are some packing tips which can help you to pack your valuables
- Packing is one of the most important parts of your move. A good packing is very significant in order to make your move easier and smoother. Often people think that packing is one of the most boring and tiring jobs on a move. But it can be made easier by following these simpler tips, techniques and suggestions.
- Proper packing materials are required for good packing of things. Packing materials required to pack things are rezone knife or scissors, sturdy boxes or cartons of all sizes, heavy duty packaging tapes, bubble wrap, wrapping sheets, newspapers, cushioning or padding materials, note pad, peanuts, markers or marking pens, etc.
- Consider about one room at a time. Yes, pack one room at a time tagging each box properly on the top and side with descriptions of its contents. Also mark the boxes on the basis of which room the box belongs in. Also do labeling of boxes or cartons containing fragile, breakable or sentimental things with the term "FRAGILE". Keep a detailed list of what things are packed in each box or carton. This will make unpacking easier and simpler. Make empty all drawers of breakable and fragile items. Put such items in one container that you can keep with you so the parts will not get lost or damaged.
- Do not pack things which are flammable or heat sensitive. Such items are candle, tapes, records, video tapes, audio tapes, compute disks, paints, kerosene oils, petrol, propane tanks, cleaning fluids, etc. You must avoid packing and carrying such things with you.
- Make sure you wrap things properly before you put them in boxes or cartons. Wrap items individually with enough layers of wrapping sheets or bubble wraps. Also fill boxes with enough padding or cushioning materials to prevent things against damages. Fill empty spaces with additional crushed paper or newspapers or any other cushioning materials. Make sure that you pack boxes firmly and tie them tightly and securely. Do pack heavy items in big boxes. Put heavy items in small boxes so that they're easier to carry. Put heavier items on bottom and light ones on top.
- Pack kitchen items which are fragile with utmost care using packing materials of good quality. Use enough wrapping sheets and padding materials in order to pack fragile kitchen items properly and firmly.
